Pre-Opening & Operational Support Manager

As the Pre-Opening & Operational Support Manager, you will support the successful planning, coordination, and execution of hotel openings across the Earth Hotels portfolio, from early-stage preparation through operational stabilization and integration into the Earth operating model.
Working closely with founders, project teams, General Managers, and department leaders, you will help ensure all opening workstreams remain aligned, on track, and moving forward. Acting as a key coordinator across Design, Procurement, Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Citizens & Culture, you will support opening readiness, maintain visibility across critical milestones, and help build the systems, standards, and processes that support successful hotel launches.
What on Earth Will You Do?
Support the coordination and management of the pre-opening critical path across all departments.
Track milestones, readiness deliverables, dependencies, and key opening activities to ensure timely execution.
Follow up with stakeholders to maintain momentum and close gaps quickly.
Coordinate opening readiness activities, including timelines, checklists, commissioning schedules, and operational setup.
Support the operational handover from project teams into hotel teams.
Coordinate key opening deliverables including systems readiness, supplier onboarding, pre-opening logistics, and department readiness.
Support General Managers and leadership teams with structured planning, reporting, and on-the-ground coordination.
Assist in maintaining visibility across project risks, delays, and critical decisions requiring escalation.
Support the integration of new properties into the Earth operating model, service philosophy, and brand standards.
Assist in the rollout and implementation of Earth SOPs, operating standards, and departmental frameworks.
Help translate the Earth guest journey into practical operational processes and daily habits.
Support the development and refinement of departmental SOPs, service standards, role descriptions, and operating manuals.
Contribute to the creation and continuous improvement of opening tools, templates, trackers, and best-practice documentation.
Capture lessons learned from each opening and support the evolution of future opening frameworks.
Coordinate recruitment timelines, leadership onboarding plans, and safe manning requirements against opening deadlines.
Support the development and delivery of Earth brand immersion and opening training programs.
Assist with orientation planning and onboarding coordination alongside the General Manager and hotel leadership team.
Help ensure Citizens are equipped to deliver Earth's service style and guest experience from day one.
Support the development of pre-opening service benchmarks and quality standards.
Assist in implementing post-opening quality assurance processes and readiness reviews.
Conduct structured follow-ups, identify operational gaps, and coordinate corrective actions with department leaders.
Support continuous improvement initiatives based on operational feedback and opening learnings.
Support pre-opening budgets and cost planning in coordination with the Finance team.
Monitor key spending items and maintain visibility on opening-related expenditures.
Track risks that may impact timelines, budgets, or operational readiness.
Assist in ensuring departmental resources remain aligned with project priorities and opening schedules.
Support the integration of Earth's community-driven programming and impact initiatives at property level.
Coordinate with leadership teams to ensure alignment with Earth's environmental and philanthropic commitments.
Support Citizen engagement, retention, and growth initiatives alongside Citizens & Culture leadership.
Help ensure each opening reflects Earth's mission, identity, values, and local relevance.
Support compliance with applicable health, safety, operational, and service regulations.
Help maintain safe, organized, and welcoming guest-facing and back-of-house environments throughout the opening process.
